Official study title

The effect of percutaneous spinal cord stimulation on refractory gait disturbance in parkinsonism - SCSGDP

Short title used by the registry

Spinal cord stimulation for gait disturbance

Original description

Intervention: Using the NM-F1 electrical stimulation device, a single 10-minute electrical stimulation session is administered to the posterior neck according to preset stimulation parameters. The cathode electrode pad, which generates the electric field, is applied to the skin over the spinous process of the second cervical vertebra. Observations following electrical stimulation are conducted at 10, 30, and 60 minutes post-stimulation, as well as one week later. Primary outcome: Timed up and Go test Secondary outcome: 1) 10-meter walk test 2) Movement Disorder Society-Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS) part 3 item 9-12 3) Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Rating Scale (PSPRS) part 4 item 25-28 4) Brain perfusion SPECT image

Conditions reported: Parkinson disease, progressive supranuclear palsy parkinsonism, gait disturbance;D010300 D013494
