Sex eligibility reported by registry: male and female

Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with drug-resistant epilepsy or movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, or dystonia, who are indicated for intracranial electrode implantation at the Department of Neurosurgery, Keio University School of Medicine. Patients who provide written informed consent to participate in this study. For minors or adults with insufficient decision-making capacity, written consent will be obtained from their legally authorized representative. Short title used by the registry

Analysis of Local Field Potentials Using SEEG and DBS in Refractory Epilepsy and Movement Disorders

Original description

Primary outcome: Primary Outcome Measures (and Their Indicators / Evaluation Methods): To examine the relationship between electrophysiological activity at individual electrodes or functional connectivity across multiple brain regions and postoperative outcomes, including seizure control and improvement in motor symptoms. EEG/LFP data obtained from the implanted electrodes will be analyzed offline to assess correlations with clinical data. Secondary outcome: Secondary Outcome Measures (and Their Indicators, Evaluation Methods): Accuracy of electrode implantation, to be evaluated using patient's medical records and imaging data.

Conditions reported: refractory epilepsy, parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dystonia
