Aggregiertes α-Synuclein spielt eine wichtige Rolle im Rahmen der Pathogenese von Morbus Parkinson. Mit Prasinezumab gibt es heute einen abgestimmten humanen monoklonalen Antikörper, der an aggregiertes α-Synuclein binden kann. Pagano und Team wollten mehr über Sicherheit und Wirksamkeit von Prasinezumab im Parkinson-Frühstadium erfahren und haben eine Phase-II-Studie mit über 300 Teilnehmenden durchgeführt.
