Original abstract

In a time, in which more than 3 billion people (in a single year) use an airplane for long distance travels, the probability is very high that also patients with chronic neurologic diseases are passengers. In this review the essential aspects are described which a patient with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy or after having suffered from a stroke has to take care for. The regularity of the intake of drugs and the problems in resorption of necessary drugs (cave traveller's diarrhea!) are emphasized.
